Plumbing Basic, Intermediate & Advanced Projects By Henkenius, Merle Book - 2002

The do-it-yourself books say that plumbing, of all home repair work, is one of the easiest to undertake for the novice. This book has a clear, no-nonsense approach to all types of plumbing repairs and installations, with clear step-by-step instructions and plenty of pictures and drawings. For example, the section on troubleshooting gravity-flow toilets gives instructions for nine different problems: slow to empty, dirty/clogged, slow to fill, constantly running, rippling water, constant hissing, sticking handle, stuck seat, and leaking base. The step-by-step repair instructions have difficulty ratings (one, two or three wrenches), a list of tools and materials required to undertake the job, and an estimate of the time required to complete the repair. I used this book''s solution to replace the S-trap in my unvented bathroom sink, with excellent results.
