First, the not so good: the author's referring to his lost love interest as The Miracle did make me wince frequently, the conclusion was too saccharine, and the title isn't really justified since Larry David doesn't really have much of a role at all and we don't learn much about him. This said, I still found this book overall to be a delightful and quite perfect summer read. The author has a talent for engaging strangers in meaningful conversations, and his introspective reflections are perfectly matched by the beautiful descriptions of the idyllic summer landscape of Martha's Vineyard which he explores on his bike rides or as a hitchhiker.
