I found this book very helpful in navigating the difficult terrain of a big break-up (divorce with or without children or even just a hard breakup with someone who you truly thought had potential). Katherine Woodward Thomas is a master of clearly defining an intention as a starting point for a new life and without glossing over serious pain, trauma and the bad behavior of others, she encourages us to stand outside of victimization as we love ourselves and re-discover our power. KWT has gone on to train coaches in this work and she herself offers many online learning opportunities to receive live coaching, etc, that I have found tremendously helpful and very affordable compared to therapy. She has been featured on the Today Show after Gweneth Paltrow described her divorce in 2015 as a conscious uncoupling, based on KWT's work.
