His thoughts are definitely more fascinating than awkward. I find him thoughtful, observant, and at times hilarious. He thoughtfully captured the black experience and gave language to situations that are hard to define. I do find him though overcompensating at times, because he married outside of his race. Highly recommend, especially the audiobook. It’s important to hear his inflection. I’m sorry I never got to watch him when his show was on the air.
